John Luce was an amazing man. He did a great deal for the station and will be remembered as a generous man who loved a good conversation... even if it was mostly John doing the talking.

In 2004 it was decided that a major under taking needed to take place; the production room was a nightmare. It was crowded, awkward, ugly, and had wires going to some places that just came to a stop connected to nothing. Take a look...

The process was going to be quite involved; it was decided the best way to get started was to start over. So we stripped the room as far as we could without causing too much structural damage...

It was a slow process but we knew it would all be worth it. By the end of July & early part of August things were looking up. The counter top wood work alone improved the room 1000 percent. And I'll add it was all hand made by one of the announcers who volunteers at the station. He does specialized wood work for a living so if you need something done email the station and we'll hook you up.

It took a bit longer than planned but by the end of August and into the beginning of September the Production room was finished enough for use. Still some things that need to be done but what an improvement.
